| Kertokaa yhtyeenne taustatarina? | I’m not part of any scene, but for a long time I’ve recorded music here and there. I’ve always loved really heavy music but finding people to with and a space to practice has been hard, partially because my normal life is very separate from my musical ambitions. So a couple of years ago I was able to put together a simple studio in my home and start recording my own version of extreme metal. It has been very satisfying being able to finally hear a recorded version of all the riffs and ideas that have been bouncing around in my head for so long. |
| Minkälaiset tavoitteet yhtyeellänne on? | I started out with no goals other than to see if I could make something that was my own, and that I would enjoy listening to. As time progressed, I started showing other people what I was doing and was happy as long as some people also enjoyed it. So my goals are quite modest, but evolving as I put more time into this project. Maybe one day I’ll find some people to actually play this stuff live with me, which seems like little more than a fantasy at this point, but we’ll see. There’s a chance. |

| Uusimman levynne nimi: | My latest relase is just a single, called “V (The Village)”. My previous release, last summer, was an album cleverly titled “I-IV”. Maybe someday soon I’ll stop using numbers. |
| Avatkaa uuden levynne taustoja. Mikä on toiminut levyn inspiraationa? | My inspirations are mainly the sounds I hear in my head that I want to hear on record, and photos/images which evoke some suitable combinations of darkness, loss, anger, all that black metal kind of stuff. The songs and lyrics usually come about from a mixture of my curiousity of different extreme metal musical ideas with an image which suggests a particular feeling or narrative. |
| Minkä bändin kanssa lähtisitte kaikkein mieluiten kiertämään maailmaa? | Well, as long as we are in fantasy land, I’d love to tour with High on Fire. Matt Pike seems like a cool dude and their live shows are very good. It’s not exactly black metal, but I think we’d give the show a nice variety. Now as to whether High on Fire would not be horrified at the prospect of touring with my band, haha that’s another question. |
