Norjalainen death metal -veteraani Blood Red Throne on julkaissut uuden singlen ”6:7”. Kappale löytyy yhtyeen kymmenenneltä pitkäsoitolta ”Imperial Congregation”, joka julkaistaan lokakuun 8. päivä Nuclear Blastin kautta.
Yhtyeen kitaristi Daniel Olaisen kommentoi kappaletta:
”’6:7’ has one of the most epic solos in BRT history. A super heavy riff and some real kick ass headbanging parts throughout the whole song!”
Yli 25 vuoden ja kohta puoliin kymmenen albumin kokemuksella yhtye tarjoilee suoraviivaista kuolometallia, johon uusin levy ei tuota poikkeuksia.
“This time around we’ve made something new and fresh in our sound. We felt it from the very first song that was written; this will take us to a whole different level in terms of arrangements, riffs, vocals… everything. We are super-excited to share this with our fans, and in cooperation with the greatest label ever”, Olaisen sanoo.
”Imperial Congregation” tarjoilee vanhan liiton äänimaailmaa ja heijastaa osittain samalla ihmiskunnan omahyväistä luonnetta, ja sen jatkuvaa epämiellyttävää tarvetta tuhota itsensä vallan, välinpitämättömyyden ja uskonnon kautta.
“We live outside this system”, Olaisen selittää. “We don’t join in on the sheep mentality. Create your own possibilities, be responsible for your own misery or success!”
Albumin kansitaiteen on tehnyt Marcelo Vasco. Kuva esittää vanhojen uskonnollisten miesten ryhmän kokoontumista, jossa he salassa suunnittelevat lakeja alemmille yhteiskuntaluokille.
“Many of our lyrics deal with our skepticism of religion, and of mankind in general. Be free or be dead”, Olaisen kertoo. ”Two gigantic skeletons tower over the men of worship as they dictate human fate by candlelight”.
