| Bändin nimi: | Our name is Dargor. It was my nickname in all previous groups I have played. This band… was a one-person project at the start. So, I’ve just called it like that! |
| Yhtyeen genre: | We play melodic black metal. We like the connection between brutality and some kind of catchiness so it’s the perfect genre for us. We’re also really into the atmosphere of black metal style. |
| Ketä yhtyeeseen kuuluu: | We have five members in our band. Michał Kustra (lead guitar & vocal), Damian Muszyński (bass & vocal), Michał Socha (rhythm guitar), Dawid Warchoł (keyboard) and Maciej Socha (drums). |
| Mistä yhtyeenne on kotoisin: | We’re from Krosno, a town in southern-eastern Poland. It lies in a region called Subcarpathia. We have a lot of forests and mountains close to us. A good place to be when composing black metal. |
| Yhtyeenne esikuvat: | We’re mostly influenced by melodic black metal bands such as Samael, Dissection, Dimmu Borgir, Naglfar, Catamenia, Ajattara and Summoning. Still, we listen to a lot of music. Many metal bands from different genres. All of them are part of our inspiration. We like melodic death metal bands like In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Amorphis and Insomnium. You can also find some elements inspired by them in our music. |
| Kertokaa yhtyeenne taustatarina: | Dargor initially was a one-person project. After recording and releasing the first three singles I’ve got a proposition of playing the live show. It was a great occasion to perform with good polish bands Furia and Varmia. I’ve completed the lineup to be able to play this gig. I’ve just asked my musician friends if they want to play with me. After the good concert, we decided to continue playing together. Dargor transformed into the regular band then. |
| Minkälaiset tavoitteet yhtyeellänne on: | We just plan to create more music. We want to make it as good as possible and release it as often as we possibly can. We want to play some shows as well. The music itself and expressing ourselves is our main goal. |
| Minkälainen työnjako musiikin tekemisessä on: | I compose the songs, write the lyrics, plan rehearsals, book shows and arrange the promotion. I also do quite a lot when it comes to recording. I edit the tracks and work as a producer when some other members record their parts. Still, the other guys do a lot of things as well. They always improve my compositions and enrich their lines a lot (Dawid, our keyboard player, composed most of his parts himself). All other members help me with the organization and logistics. They’re always prepared musically and have a lot of good ideas about what we can improve or incorporate into our music, looks or artworks. |
| Millainen kokemus bändinne on livenä ja miksi yhtyeenne keikoille kannattaa tulla: | We offer an aggressive, atmospheric performance full of emotions and energy. Our music is good just to listen but also to bang your head. If you have the occasion to see us live, check us out! You shouldn’t be disappointed. |
| Uusimman levynne nimi: | Our last LP containing eight original songs is called ”Ascend To Infinity”. It was released on 6th December 2022.

| Avatkaa uuden levynne/julkaisunne taustoja. Mikä on toiminut sen inspiraationa ja miten tuotos on syntynyt: | It’s kind of a concept album. In lyrics, we consider the sense of our existence. The tragic fate of beings aware of their mortality and fact that they will inevitably lose all they know and have. Some of us more, some of us less immediately and painfully. If there is no continuation, there is no meaning other than temporary. The human race will surely stop existing one day. I often think and philosophize about these kinds of subjects. I just wanted to create some songs about them! |
| Minkä bändin kanssa lähtisitte kaikkein mieluiten kiertämään maailmaa: | We’d like to tour with any melodic, atmospheric or symphonic metal bands who play with a passion. It also would be great if our styles fit each other… at least quite a bit. If I have to pick one band… I’d probably say Samael (ideally while they play ”Passage” or ”Ceremony Of Opposites” tour). |
| Jos uudelta levyltä/vanhasta tuotannosta pitäisi suositella kahta biisiä, niin mitkä ne olisivat ja miksi: | I’d recommend ”Waste What Was Given” and ”Locust”. The first one is the most ambitious and diverse song from the album (at least in my opinion). The second is the most aggressive and the fastest composition. Both of the songs contain some catchy melodies that you can easily remember. |
| Mikä musiikki kolahtaa yhtyeellenne juuri nyt: | I listen to a lot of The Kovenant recently. All of their albums. Maybe you’ll find some elements inspired by The Kovenant on our next release! |
