Hyvinkään SteelFestiin toukokuussa saapuvan Mardukin perustajajäsen Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson on antanut Metal Wani-sivustolle uuden haastattelun yhtyeen käynnissä olevan Australian kiertueen alla. Mies kertoo yhtyeen päättävän vuodesta 2015 kestäneen ”Frontschwein”-kiertueen Pohjois-Amerikkaan syyskuussa ja suuntaavan sen jälkeen studioon. Runsaasti uutta materiaalia on Steinmeyerin mukaan levyä varten valmiina ja prosessi on hyvässä vauhdissa.
Kitaristi kertoo haastattelussa myös näkemyksiään yhtyeen äskettäin saamista natsisyytöksistä sekä kiertämisestä.
Marduk nähdään 19–20.5.2017 Hyvinkään Steelfestissä, jossa yhtyeen mukaan luvassa on ”20th Anniversary – Heaven Shall Burn”- show.
Steinmeyer kertoo tulevasta levystä:
We have done a lot of touring for “Frontschwein” in most parts of the world and we still have some dates in August and September in North America. After that I think we will go to studio. We have completed a lot of music and material. We are looking for different options for it but we are already quite far ahead in the process. We will let everybody know when the album is completed. We don’t know yet what direction it will take, we will let the music take us where it wants to go. We never sit down and try to be different. It is impossible to say what the record will sound like because things have a tendency to change until the last day in the studio.
