| Yhtyeenne esikuvat: | Foremost a lot of classic metal bands from the 80-ies like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motörhead, but also punk icons like The Ramones and Misfits. Thomas is also into some more death/black metal and Johanna gets inspiration from Tom Petty and L7 to mention a few. Past and present members have also brought their specific preferences and playing styles into the band, which have been an important part in creating our sound |
| Kertokaa yhtyeenne taustatarina: | We (Johanna and Thomas) started writing songs together in the summer of 2015. After a while we felt like they were really good, and we wanted to try them out with a band. So, we called in two of our friends on drums and guitar and six months later we recorded our first two songs. We also made our first gig at a small festival outside Stockholm in August 2016. Then we made a lot of gigs in Sweden, went to Germany, and recorded a 4-track EP, our debut album and a single with Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight studio. Our debut album was released in November 2018 and took us all the way to Sweden Rock Festival in 2019. That year we also went to Norway and England for a couple of gigs. During 2020 we recorded our second album with Robert Pehrsson (Imperial State Electric, Death Breath etc) and got signed by Swedish label GMR Music. The album was released in March 2021 and got great reviews. As we couldn’t tour on the album, we went back to writing songs for our third album. We´ve made a couple of festivals and club gigs in Norway and Sweden during 2022 and our new album will be released on December the 9 th. As every band that´s been around for a while we have had some line-up changes over the years, but we have never been as focused as a band as we are now. Robert and Johan both came in at different times during the last year and have really brought a great game to the table, so it feels like we´re just getting started. |
| Minkälaiset tavoitteet yhtyeellänne on: | Our main goal is to do as many gigs as possible all over the place. Festivals, club gigs, whatever. We also would like to take our music outside of Sweden and have been to Germany, England, and Norway so far and it´s been awesome. We really hope to go back to these places and do shows in other countries as well. We´re a live band, we´re regular guys that just love to meet people just like ourselves, have a beer and enjoy good heavy metal music. More albums? Of course! |
| Minkälainen työnjako musiikin tekemisessä on: | When it comes to writing music, Thomas usually is the one presenting ideas for the band to start working on in the rehearsal room and then we all take it from there. As founding members and the ones who have been running the band for seven years, we (Thomas and Johanna) quite naturally do most of the work regarding the band, but every member along the way have contributed to shaping the band and keeping us moving forward. |
| Millainen kokemus bändinne on livenä ja miksi yhtyeenne keikoille kannattaa tulla: | One of the things with us is that you don´t necessarily have to know our songs in advance to enjoy them. We can see that people who see us live for the first time is drawn to our enthusiasm on stage and gets into the music at once. The music is direct and hard to resist. You´re all more than welcome to try us out. |

| Avatkaa uuden levynne/julkaisunne taustoja. Mikä on toiminut sen inspiraationa ja miten tuotos on syntynyt: | This is our third album since the debut in 2018 and we released our second one just last year. That release was very well received by critics and fans, but as the pandemic held us in it´s grasp, we weren´t able to do any gigs on the album. That weighed us down a bit, but as no one knew how long the pandemic would keep us at home, we just started writing more new songs. Since we just came back from the studio and had released a new album we really liked, we didn´t feel any rush with the new material so we allowed ourselves to work with them thoroughly. Given that background, perhaps you can feel that there are more layers to this new album than our previous ones. |
| Minkä bändin kanssa lähtisitte kaikkein mieluiten kiertämään maailmaa: | Perhaps Nashville Pussy? Or Monster Magnet? Turbonegro? There are so many bands that you can see really love to be on stage, putting on a great show just like us so we´d like to tour with them all. |
| Jos uudelta levyltä/vanhasta tuotannosta pitäisi suositella kahta biisiä, niin mitkä ne olisivat ja miksi: | As the new album´s not released yet and the title track/video is posted below, we go for two other songs we feel are very representative for us and our sound. If you listen to the opening track “Sell Your Soul” on our previous album (“Second Gear” 2021) and “In The Zone (Again)” from our debut album (“Cobra Cult” 2018) then you get a pretty good idea of what to expect when you come to a Cobra Cult show. They are quite intense and direct songs that grabs hold of you and makes you want to stamp your feet, bang your head, and sing along. |
| Mikä musiikki kolahtaa yhtyeellenne juuri nyt: | Since the start back in 2015 we´re on a musical journey and we´re starting to find our sound and style. When it comes to inspiration, we get inspired by all sort of things. As we´re all quite broad in our musical references, we listen to a lot of different bands and genres so time will tell what will make an impact on our following releases. |
