Gotthard julkaisi Status Quon Francis Rossin kanssa uuden singlen “Bye Bye Caroline”

Sveitsin menestynein hard rock –yhtye Gotthard on julkaissut uuden singlen “Bye Bye Caroline” tulevalta joulukuussa kauppohin saapuvalta “Defrosted 2” –levyltä. Albumi on jatko-osa yhtyeen vuonna 1997 ilmestyneelle ”Defrosted” –levylle ja esittelee akustisia tulkintoja bändin suosituista kappaleista sekä kaksi täysin uutta biisiä. Nyt singlenä julkaistu uusi kappale ”Bye Bye Caroline” on kunnianosoitus Status Quon suurimmalle hitille ”Caroline” ja biisissä vierailee Quon johtohahmo Francis Rossi.

Rossi kommentoi yhteistyötä seuraavasti:

I got to know Leo (Leoni) and Nic (Maeder) at the shows we did together this spring. On the Rock Meets Classic-Tour, there was a comradeship that I haven’t experienced like this in over 50 years. Leo, Nic and I perfectly got along with each other right from the start, so one evening, I went over to Gotthard’s backstage room with my guitar and we started jamming. Nic immediately started singing some cool melodies to it and Leo said, that the song somehow had to contain ‘Caroline’“.
