Northern Seer – ja Everfrost-vokalisti Mikael Salo sekä Astralionin kitaristi Hank J. Newman ovat yhdistäneet voimansa power metal –tyyliin sovitetulla cover-versiolla E-Typen 20 vuotta sitten ilmestyneestä discohitistä ”Angels Crying”. Single oli aikanaan Suomen listoilla kakkospaikalla.
Salo kertoo kappaleen taustasta:
I’ve known Hank from the Finnish power metal band Astralion for a while already, we first toured together with them with Northern Seer in 2014 through bars and pubs in Southern Finland, and have stayed in touch ever since. In the end of last year he made a crazy suggestion to ”metalize” one of my favorite pop songs ever, the Swedish eurodance song ”Angels Crying” from the band E-Type, and I didn’t have to think twice!
So here it is, the result of our little Frankenstein experiment, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did making it! This time it was actually hilarious.
